Quality management

When processing materials, we pay very strict attention to compliance with the different processing times. The time interval (pot life) in which the material has to be put into the mould is approximately 2 to 10 minutes, depending on the formula, starting with the contact of the components to the beginning of gelling. Pouring as a rule is done directly from the machines into the moulds. The demoulding times are usually between 20 and 60 minutes, but can be up to 24 hours in some isolated cases. For tempering, the PU components must spend between 12 and 24 hours in the oven. Afterwards, there should at least 14 days of post-tempering at room temperature to make sure the full range of properties is achieved.

There are constant checks during production for optical flaws and hardness fluctuations, so that the necessary measures can be taken in the event of deviations. Furthermore, test plates are poured and archived every day from each casting machine for each formula that is processed. This makes it possible to subsequently check the physical values of a specific production batch.
